Friendship Born in the Heart of God

Neva, Isabelle, and Cara
God created them and hard wired them with compassion. God ordained their arrival on this earth in His perfect timing. God saw fit in His great plan for these 3 girls to become friends. God knew there would be an earthquake in Haiti and He knew that He was preparing them for such a time as this to work together to build homes for children.
They have known about each other for less than 6 months, yet you would think they'd grown up together. Isabelle had met Neva in person in November, but only talked to Cara on the phone. Neva and Cara had never met in person. All 3 girls speak of each other as if they played together everyday.
Today was the day that all three girls got to meet each other, play together, and share their story at Neva's school group. It was such a special day to solidify their friendship and the call that God has given each of them to help orphans around the world!

As we said our goodbyes, the girls were saying "email me. call me. let's stay in touch! I'll miss you." In the car, Isabelle repeatedly said, "That was the best day mom! I had so much fun!"

This was a special day ordained by God, one we will never forget.

Why I Love Orphans

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!!! I feel this year will be full of promise and God's blessings.  Lately, I have been thinking about the true reason behind why I help orphans.  My work for Him comes from three main principles:  1.  Wait for HIS timing. Waiting on Him requires patience, it's not always easy, but who said following God and having patience would be easy? 2.  TRUST His plan for me. 1st Annual GO Project Run/Walk

What a fun morning with friends and for a GREAT cause! We were joined by our friends Myah & her mom Annie as we walked 3.2 miles for the Global Orphan Project. It was raining as we drove to the event, but THANKFULLY it did not rain on us at the walk! Isabelle was asked to start the race! She was pumped and got to blow a LOUD horn! She's in the pink pants/white shirt on the STUMP! Our 3 little racers finished in about 47 minutes!! Racin' for a great cause!

We love the vision, the heart, the passion behind World Mandate - it's a place to catch vision, to be inspired, and to be moved into action for God's purposes in the world. In September 2011, Isabelle designed a WM exclusive card in order to raise funds to build a home in Rukore Village, Uganda.  She sold out of the 300 boxes and we had to take orders for more.  The home was built in March 2012 and the children have moved in!  This completed her 9th home!! This year for WM, Isabelle designed a new card based on photos she'd seen of the home in Rukore, Uganda.  We took 400 boxes - that's 4000 cards to sell with all of the proceeds going to the life care costs for the children living in that home for 3 years. ...
