Children helping Children
I shared in the last post that I would update what Isabelle's next project and involvement in Haiti would be. Isabelle has committed to building a village in Port au Prince, Haiti. This village will include 8 homes for approximately 80 children. The village will also include a school and a church. If you would like to help Isabelle and our family in building the village please let us know ASAP!
God is doing more than we can see and He is using children to do it! The following 2 pictures are of Isabelle's friends Neva (top picture) and Cara (bottom picture). Both girls we have met in the last 6 months through our efforts to share about orphans. Isabelle has met Neva once in person and only spoke to Cara by phone. Despite their lack of physical contact, these girls have a bond that is more than amazing, it can only be written by God! Both girls contacted us after the earthquake and both want to help build a home in the village. I believe God is building this village by the efforts of children.
Cara had a talent show last fall to raise money to buy land for a garden for an orphanage in Zambia, Africa. www.energyofhope.org The gal who runs this orphanage is in her 20's, Amanda is her name - she is AMAZING!! Check out her website for more info about her and her kids.
Amanda called me last week to let me know that the orphans in her home were raising money to give to the children in Haiti, to build them a home with Isabelle because "they know what it's like to be without one." ARE YOU KIDDING??? NO - God is moving in all children. Children in the states who have families and homes and children in Africa who are orphaned.
ORPHANS helping ORPHANS - OF COURSE. God is wanting to use all of us, if we will say yes!
